Coast the Coast 2008 MS-170"
(May 6, 2008) . . . Here goes Bike Mike again. He is training for the up-coming 170 mile "Coast the Coast" bike tour. Which is set for May 17 and 18, 2008.
My goal is set between $2,200.00 US and $3,000 US dollars in pledges for Multiple Sclerosis. Came close to $3,000 US dollars in 2006 by reach $2,734.00 US dollars, says Mike.
Mike has been cycling in the MS Mid-Jersey Chapter tour since 1993. Will continue to cycle for MS in the Mid-Jersey Chapter 170 mile ride till he can not cycle no more.
The Mid Jersey Chapter has 25/50/85/170 mile courses. A one day or a two day course. Choose your ride and register. Maybe Mike will see you in the tour.

Mike got his first pledge on March 24, 2008 from a guy that is running for office in Nutley, NJ. His name is Al Petracco. Mike would like to thank him for donation (pledge).

Mike needs less then $370.00 u.s. dollars to reach $2,000 u.s. dollaars and his goal is less then $570.00 u.s. dollars away.
Mike has been training. The weather so far for the month of April has been really nice. Also things do come up. Where Mike can not train at all. He tries his best to get on his bike everyday to cycle. To be prepared for the bike tour that is now about 10 days away.
Just got word that NBC morning show called "TODAY" will broadcast the "Coast the Coast" bike tour LIVE starting at 7am EST time on saturday, May 17th, 2008. They will broadcast the start of the MS 85 and MS 170 at 8am EST. Check your NBC channel when your area broadcast the "TODAY" show. Mike will display his poster in front of the live camera like he did last year.

(Updated December 5, 2007) . . . Lucky Bear is a friendship bear. Traveling around the world to make friends. Indeed he is making friends around the world. It started with an idea by a woman name Melanie that owns and run The Treasure Box website. Started this on March 3, 2007 from California.

3/3/2007 - Greetings from California! My name is Lucky Bear and I am about to embark on a round-the-world journey which will take me in a couple of days to Norway! After that I will be traveling all over Europe before heading back to the States for a jaunt to Arkansas and Michigan among other places. Bike Mike had the chance to host Lucky Bear from September 10, 2007 to September 29, 2007. Took Lucky Bear in the bike tour on Sept. 15 and 16, 2007.

Mike donated a tree to Denville, NJ. Which was planted on May 27, 2006 at Gardener Field. A plaque was present to Bike Mike on June 4, 2006. During the 2006 Perfect Pitch Homerun Derby.

Big Mike love to get the video editor from Pinnacle System Company. So he can continue editing for different local areas. Like he use to for WBHS-34 in the past. Which he was apart of for 13 years.

Mike has been in the Special Olympic bowling and basketball league for a couple years now. His team got 3rd place in basketball March 2006 and 4th place in March 2007. Mike came in 2nd place in the local tournament in January 2008. Plans on being on the basketball team for the 2009 season. 2008 is his 4th year in basektball. The team Mike's on has made it to the 2008 Finals in Wildwood, NJ.

Mike has joined a gym. So he can stay fit all year round for both bike tours and any other event Mike does. Like the Special Olympic bowling and Special Olympic basketball.
